estore pay buttons shortcode not suited to AMP

Hi:

I changed my whole site to AMP for site speed. But I am unable to use eStore/emember anymore because of one small hitch … the shortcodes for the Pay buttons (both BUY NOW and SUBSCRIBE buttons) are working on jquery or json or such format that is not working with AMP pages. (I am not a techie so I don’t know what is the exact code system).

Is there a way to make the buttons compatible with AMP?

There is no magic solution for this unfortunately. You can’t have a page that doesn’t load JavaScript and at the same time get all the features. So there is always a tradeoff with this type of setup.

Given your setup, Instead of using the shortcode, try using the following option to create the buy now or add to cart link.

eStore – How to Use a Text Link or URL to Accommodate the Purchase of a Product

So on your main post or page, you have a link that doesn’t load anything since it is just a link. When the customer clicks on the link, it processes the action and allow the transaction to go forward.
