I love the MailChimp integration feature of eStore. What I’d *really* love is to know which of my subscribers joined my list as a result of that integration, so I can add them to a specific autoresponder.
I’m sure I’m not the first person to think of this… Does anyone have a best practice to have eStore “tell” MailChimp a new subscriber arrived as a result of a purchase? If it’s not built in to eStore, is there perhaps a function folks are using?

You can use a particular list for the eStore product in question (or the global one). All subscribers in that list will be from eStore.
I’d rather not maintain different lists — rather, I’d like to add subscribers who joined as a result of a purchase to be “earmarked” for a specific segment of an existing list. If that’s not possible, I reckon I can do stuff manually (sadly, my sales volume is light enough to make that reasonable).
In that case eStor’s Mailchimp interest group segmentation feature should come in handy. Here is how you can use it:
