I understand that I set the number of products to display on each page in the settings -> Products Per Page Limit location. I have mine set to 10 which is a good number for my regular categories.

However, I have a “Complete List” page of all of my posters (over 300). With that category page I would really like to have the number of products per page be 25 (or maybe 50).

But, because the “Products Per Page Limit” is set to 10 for my other categories, I need some tweak to get just my “complete list” category to show more products.

I tried the [wp_eStore_category_products_fancy id=1 style=3 order=1 type=1 number=25] shortcode – but that only showed a TOTAL of 25 products. There was no pagination to continue through the rest of the products.

Is there a way to tweak the shortcode or some bit of code that I can use to set the Products per page limit to a larger number on a specific category.

    Thanks for the help.

Hello markpr, What version of eStore and the extra eStore shortcodes addon are you using?

Are you sure that you have more than 25 products in that category (ID 1)?

    Kind regards

    Hi Mbrsolution,

I am using estore 6.9.9.3 and extra shortcodes 4.7.5

I over 300 products, and when I use regular category shortcode the pagination works great. But when I use the shortcode using “number=25” it only gives me 25 product listings – no pagination. That just won’t work.

    Thanks for looking into this.

The number parameter is to specify the total number of items you want to show for that shortcode. That parameter doesn’t have anything to do with the pagination.

The pagination value comes from the settings menu of the plugin. Set the value of the “Products Per Page Limit” field to 25 or 50 (whatever you want). This value is global so you can’t have one page with one pagination number and another one with another value.

So, just to be clear –

You have no shortcode tweak to allow for more items to show on a specific category page. It is only adjusted globally from the settings menu – all the same on all pages.

Is this something you may consider offering in the future?

For some of us who have a large catalog of products, this ability would be nice. Not necessary – but nice.

Thanks anyway. Keep up the wonderful work you are doing. Most impressive.

You can show as many items you want to using the shortcode (it will show all your items on that page). What I meant is that the pagination value (how many items to show before it paginates) is global. From our experience we found that if a user likes to paginate at 25 items, then that user is satisfied with that pagination value. Thas is why we made that settings a global one.

It is a little weird to have one area where it uses pagination of 10 products, then there is another area where it uses a pagination of 25 products. In a website this value should be same to keep consistency.

Anyway, if other users ask for this then we will add that option in the shortcode.
