When a customer orders something from my estore it is connecting fine to paypal but it appears paypal is not updating my site with the fact that an order was placed and it doesn’t email me at all that there was an order.

Please enable debug as per the link below and then share the output of the ipn_handle_debug.log file after capturing logs for another purchase attempt:

December 17, 2012 at 1:31 am #52467stupidcat designMemberThe instructions in your post https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/wp-estore-and-paypal-profile-settings are incomplete. They do not account for the editing of the settings for the IPN which now appears to default to disable notifications. Even more troubling is that I have set this to enabled before and it appears to continue to change back to disabled. I know what you are trying to do with it, but it is very frustrating when trying to get support.
December 17, 2012 at 7:28 am #52468adminKeymasterHi, It may look incomplete but it is not. The information is there, you may be missing a point somewhere. WP eStore is quite smart in figuring out this IPN stuff so all you really need to do is enable IPN in your PayPal account. If you want to sell online using any kind of automated solution via PayPal, you are going to need to keep that option enabled (any decent shopping cart solution uses PayPal’s IPN feature).
I am pretty sure you are not specifying a URL when you are enabling it so the PayPal setting is not sticking. Maybe the following screenshot will help:
http://images.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forum-images/instruction/enable-paypal-ipn-in-your-profile.jpg
Basically, enter your site’s URL then choose “Receive IPN Messaged” option and hit the “Save” button.
That should be goo enough to enable IPN in your PayPal account.
Now, go ahead and test another transaction and check the debug. If it is still empty then check this checklist to see where else you have made a mistake:

I understand that you are a little frustrated but when the fault is outside this plugin then getting angry at us won’t really help.
