Hello,
In testing, I don’t get a confirmation email from the shop that there was an order and neither does the customer. We do both however get a notification/receipt from PayPal.
I’ve tried various options for troubleshooting this issue. I downloaded the plugin you recommend in a forum and can confirm that my WordPress email is working fine. I can send emails manually through the Admin Functions. My IPN and PDT both seem to be working fine (both pointed to my thank-you page).
I do not have any autoresponders set up under the general settings, nor under the product autoresponder settings. When I check my IPN debug log, everything is showing successful. Under the Subscription debug log it states that it’s recording customer data for free trial subscription signup. However, in the eStore Post Payment debug log it is showing AWeber item specific signup operation performed for customer… I imagine this is where the issue lies but I don’t know how to correct it!
Help!
Thank you in advance,
Dana

In the interim, I will email clients their URL address to access a custom registration form after payment is processed.

February 6, 2013 at 10:26 pm #53653PeterMemberFirst we need to establish that you configured everything correctly. From what I can see, you are offering a free trial subscription. Are you hooking this payment with a membership level of eMember or are you just setting up a subscription with eStore and nothing else?
What version of eStore plugin are you using?
Have you checked this post?
February 8, 2013 at 8:51 pm #53654mainstreetmarketingMemberHi Peter,
Thanks for your response. Right now I just have it set up as a subscription with eStore and nothing else. I’m running Version 6.9.7.2 of eStore.
Thanks!

February 10, 2013 at 12:08 am #53655adminKeymasterThat is the intended behavior of the plugin. At this stage if you just have a free trial, the plugin doesn’t send an email. Free trial is usually used with a membership. So when you use it with a membership, it sends a membership email.
Most users don’t want to give a download link for a free trial which is why no email is sent. When the trial period is over and the subscription money is charged, that’s when the eStore plugins sends the email with the product download link (if any).
Can you explain what you are trying to do so I have a better understanding of your situation. You want to give user a product download when they do a free trial?
February 11, 2013 at 1:24 am #53656mainstreetmarketingMemberAh ha! That makes sense! Sorry, I didn’t realize that.
I’m trying to offer a subscription based service (and will later include digital downloads) and was hoping that it would send an email upon registering for the free trial, which would then include a URL address to go fill out a registration form.
I will go purchase eMember, but could you please let me know whether or not you can customize the member registration form completely to even include file uploads? Right now I have that incorporated into forms in Gravity Forms but I could just eliminate that altogether if it’s an option to add in the eMember registration form.
Thank you for the prompt support!
