My website airport-diorama-designs.com has been working flawlessly for the last 6 years. The only major thing done to it was an update of the eStore software to the latest release about a month ago. WordPress and all other plugins are also up to date.
All was good until last night around 7:30pm. You can add items to the cart, go to the checkout page, but when you click on the Checkout with PayPal button, all I get is a blank page. The URL on top of the page is airport-diorama-designs.com/?eStore_checkout=process&eStore_gateway=paypal. Nothing else. If you try to reload the page you get the same blank page. I have tested it on Firefox and Microsoft Edge, same issue.
This is the first time I see this problem. As I said before, it was working fine until last night. How can I troubleshoot this problem? I have the debug option on, but the last entry is the successful transaction last night, nothing else after.
April 1, 2018 at 8:01 pm #77613wzpModeratorDid you also update any eStore addons, as well? Please provide the name and version of eStore and any of its addons.
April 2, 2018 at 4:17 am #77614adminKeymasterPlease contact your hosting provider and make sure the following is taken care of:
1) The server is using a recent version of PHP. Something like PHP5.6+ or PHP7+
If you haven’t done anything for a long time then your server maybe using a very old version of PHP and that will cause trouble with the newer version of everything. So request them to upgrade your PHP version on the server.
2) Ask them how much PHP RAM is available on this server. Request them to increase the PHP RAM memory limit.
3) Ask them if there is any error log that is being created on the server.

This is what I found out so far:
WP eStore software version 8.0.5, no addons
PHP was set to 5.4, upgraded it to 5.6 Stable
PHP RAM set to max = 256M (Anything higher I would need to go to a dedicated server)
Error logs are clean, a couple of lines in regards to my backup plugin, that’s all
After the PHP upgrade I tried the system, but the same error persists
