Hello,
I did several tests in sandbox mode with paypal with eStore an eMember. However I have an issue when using subscription product. I tested to create a product with a subscription that cost 0.1€ every day, and when you pay the subscription you got upgraded for free member account to “customer” membership level. I got the two following issues:
– I get correctly the customer created in “Paid” status into the “Manager customers” tab of eStore and also the order into “Order management” (as I installed the add on) when the user process the PayPal paiement. However I don’t get any update and new payment information of the recurring payments (every day in my example) into eStore.
– I the mean time in eMember when the user pay he is correctly upgraded to “customer” membership level but once he cancel the subscription into Paypal he is correctly set to status “unsubscribed” but is not downgraded to “free membership”.
Thank in advance for your help!
By default, it doesn’t capture the recurring payment info (it really doesn’t need to). You can enable the following eStore settings option:
eStore Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Capture Recurring Payment Sales Data
That will tell eStore to capture the recurring payments in the manage customers area.
When someone cancels a subscription for eMemember, it won’t auto downgrade. It will set the status to unsubscribed which means the user will get access for the time he/she paid for already. After that time, the account will get set to expired.
If you want to auto downgrade accounts, then you can use the following extension:
https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-membership/auto-downgrade-membership-account-addon-941
When the premium user’s account expires (after their paid time is up), it will auto downgrade the user account.
Thank you very much for your quick answer it works better.
