First button is a buy now button. When clicked it only opens PayPal. Should provide the option to pay with credit card or paypal.
Second button is add to cart. When clicked, shopping cart appears on page. If I select either payment option (Authorize.net OR PayPal) I get an error message.
My merchant account is Payline. The gateway is paylinedatagateway.com. I updated the Authorize.php file as Payline instructed to replace the secure.authorize.net link with secure.paylinedatagateway.com link.
Please assist.
You have made a coding mistake when you edited the “authorize.php” file.
Please tell me what instructions you got from the PayLine gateway so I can help you correct the mistake.
Exact instructions:
1. In the plug in, enable Authorize.net as the merchant account.
2. Go into the Authorize.php file. (wp-cart >> lib >> gateway >> Authorize.php) and replace this URL – [https://secure.authorize.net/gateway/transact.dll] – with this URL – [https://secure.paylinedatagateway.com/cart/ausi.php]
I was told to do the same for the test URL – [https://test.authorize.net/gateway/transact.dll]
I did a repeat of the above starting from scratch (original Authorize.php file), but did not edit the test URL.
I went back to the test page to see what impact this had – [http://www.lisanelsonrd.com/wpestore-test]
Buy now – still directing to PayPal, but now giving an error message.
Add to cart – appears to be working for both merchant account & PayPal

@LisaNelsonRD, you will need to use our gateway specific buy now button shortcode for this to work:
we have developed an addon for Payline Data gateway. So you don’t need to customize the code anymore.
I have sent you the addon with instructions via email. Let me now if you don’t receive it.
