Tagged: squeeze form
Dear Customer Support,
I am having a strange problem with a eStore squeeze form (Download Now).
I believe I did set up everything according to your instructions in order for my blog readers to be able to download my free ebook via the form. I tried downloading it myself several times and everything worked nicely each time.
Yesterday, the page with the squeeze form went public and one reader was able to successfully download the ebook, but I was later notified by another reader that she could not even enter her name or email address in the form.
I also encountered exactly the same problem when I tried with my iPad.
I checked the page with the Google Chrome developer tools and found a couple of errors. They are:
**Failed to load resource: net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED
**Uncaught TypeError: $ is not a function
Do you think that these errors have something to do with the problem I’m experiencing?
It seems that these errors show up wherever I use the shortcodes for squeeze forms.
I have WP eStore ver.8.07 installed in my WordPress.
The shortcode for the squeeze for used is [wp_eStore_free_download_squeeze_form id=1].
Thank you for your help in advance,
-Miyu
Is the Product ID of the free download really “1” or did you “just copy” the shortcode from the list, verbatim?
Please post a live URL link to the page with the shortcode.
Hi-
Thank you for your prompt answer.
Actually, I was able to resolve it myself.
The cause of the problem was the content copy protection feature of my WordPress theme. The feature was blocking (almost) anyone but myself from entering any information in the form.
After disabling it only on that page, I found everything to start working beautifully.
I checked the same page again with Google Chrome, IE, Opera and Safari, just in case. No problem. It is working!!
Thank you again. It’s so nice to know that you guys are always ready to help your customers.
-Miyu
