I got your plugin for my client’s fudge shop. Online he sells candy by 1/2 pound slice.
The owner wants to let people buy 3 slices of candy for the same price and shipping as 2 slices (i.e. you can buy two, get one free).
I have figured out how to make it happen if they order all 3 slices from a single product – example if they buy 3 slices of chocolate fudge, they get the 1 slice free – discount taken on the price and shipping.
But since the store has over 20 kinds of fudge, people are getting frustrated when they try to mix and match different products.
Say someone orders 2 slices of chocolate and then orders one of tiger butter fudge – the shopping cart displays all three slices – without any discounts.
How can I set the eStore configuration or shopping cart to adjust (take out the discount price and shipping) for the extra .5 pound slice added to the cart for it to be free?
Can I set it to sell by weight or something like that vs. by item (slice)?
Thanks
Chancer Reese
September 24, 2013 at 10:56 pm #57917adminKeymasterAll of them priced equally? or do the slices have different price?
September 25, 2013 at 12:02 am #57918chancerMemberYes. All the products are priced the same per slice. With $5.00 base shipping and $2.00 for each slice ordered.
September 25, 2013 at 2:23 am #57919adminKeymasterUse the “Total Quantity” option instead of using the “Individual Quantity” condition. The total quantity will count the total quantity across all items in the cart.
Please give the following a try:
Create a conditional discount with the following data:
Discount Amount: 33%
Conditions: Total Quantity -> is greater than -> 2

April 16, 2015 at 10:20 pm #57921ontraMemberMy customer is selling fingernail wraps (all priced at $13) and they want to use a Buy 3 Get 1 Free.
I set up the coupon but AFTER the third nail wrap is added in the cart it continues to give a discount (whether I set it at $ or %) for ALL nail wraps added after 3. How would i set it up to ONLY give a $13 discount one time when 3 nail wraps are added to the cart.
And then if we can do that, is it possible to set the parameters so that when they add additional 3 nail wraps (so it would now be 6 quantity in the cart) they get an additional $13 discount, and on and on for every 3 they add to the cart?
April 17, 2015 at 12:55 am #57922wpCommerceModerator@ontra, Have you tried this condition?
Total Quantity -> Is equal to -> 3
This addon might be useful if you are trying to give discount for every 3 items.

April 17, 2015 at 8:53 pm #57923ontraMemberThank you, but it is giving me a rounding error on my total price. (Each product is $13). I set up the buy 3 get and $13 off, so when 3 products are added the total should then be $26.00 (3 products @ $13ea – $13) but it says $26.01 not $26
