Tagged: collect customer input, manage customers
I’m trying to use eStore to sell tickets for a conference (on top of an eMember site). Registered users (through eMember) have to log into the site before purchasing conference tickets (which is how we capture their customer information). However, members can also purchase discounted tickets for their guests/spouses who are not registered users of the site.
I have setup the Guest product to collect guest names through the ‘Collect Customer Input’ field, but I need to be able to generate a list of those input guest names. A member level list of registered eMember users is easy, but it is a list of these non-member names that is tricky.
The eStore Manage Customer section only lists names of registered users who purchased each product, complete with transaction ID, product ID, etc. – but it does not list the ‘Collect Customer Input’ field. When I export all customer data into a CSV file, the Customer Input information is there, so there must be a way of displaying it with shortcode on a webpage, I just can’t figure out how?
Any ideas? thanks
eStore v6.9.7.2, eMember v8.4.6
Hi, you can get the custom input fields in the manage customers menu of eStore. This value is also present in the CSV file that you can export from the customers menu. This information cannot be shown on a webapge using shortcode. eMember has the capability to show user information because that plugin is a user;member management plugin (eStore doesn’t do user management).
From your CSV file you can find out who bought this “Guest User” product and what the names where from the custom field. You can then manually take these names and list it somewhere if you need.
