I have just finally got my eStore up and I was also going to use the eMember and Affiliate Store plugin, but decided to just use affiliate and estore together.
My problem is, I just had everything setup and was going to open up the affiliate system and I had a client payment come through and it wasn’t recorded in the system.
Another question is and I’m not sure if I read this correctly, but when a client purchases a product, do they automatically receive an affiliate account or is that just through the eMember system?
I have also turned on the debug feature and nothing gets displayed in the IPN debug log.
Please let me know if I do not have something configured properly.

June 28, 2019 at 6:59 pm #79657jayepauseSpectatorUpdate, I was able to access the IPN handler file and it is showing everything in there, including the post string but it is not inserting the transaction, nor customer into the database.

June 28, 2019 at 7:52 pm #79658jayepauseSpectatorI have also made sure the PDT token was setup and still is not working. All of the data in the post string shows up in the IPN log like it added them to the database, but nothing ever records in the sales/customer database.

This usually happens when the server doesn’t reply to PayPal with the valid 200 status code after it received the IPN notification. Please do the following then do a test so we can see if there a particular plugin causing issue with the PayPal IPN notification:
Next, go to the “Email Settings” menu of the eStore plugin and check to make sure the “Send Emails to Buyer After Purchase” feature is enabled there.

Thank you for the above information and I have gone through some of it. The problem is, my site is live and I receive client and student orders all the time. I am not able to just deactivate all of the plugins on my site or it would take everything down because most of the site was built using WP Visual Bakery.
Apart from all of this, I am currently using the WP Simple PayPal Shopping Cart and have absolutely NO issues with it what so ever. Other than the fact that it doesn’t have the functionality like eStore does, I would still just use that…
Why does this work perfectly fine, but the estore doesn’t? I have had literally no problems with IPN and the sales and customers logging. Everything works great. I switched over to this because I wanted more functionality and additional payment gateways and wanted to incorporate the affiliate system into it, and every time a purchase happens, nothing gets recorded.
Is there anything else that you can suggest as to why the free Simple cart system works and the eStore paid plugin doesn’t?
Would deleting the plugin and re-installing it help? If I delete the plugin, will it delete any of the databases or settings associated with it?

Just for a test, can you temporarily turn off the simple cart plugin and do a test transaction with estore? Just want to make sure the the simple cart is not hijackign the IPN notification.
Also, be sure to check the settings in estore that I requested you to check earlier.
July 1, 2019 at 11:12 am #79663jayepauseSpectatorYes, I did that and it still didn’t work. I disabled the plugin and I still get the same result. I’ve disabled all plugins basically that run the entire system and there is absolutely no change in result.
Also, I’ve tried to do test transactions, for some reason when I try to do a test transaction it says that something isn’t configured properly and it never shows the payment button. Just that error.

Will deleting it remove all of my products and settings or will they remain in the database?
July 1, 2019 at 2:41 pm #79665jayepauseSpectatorThis was the last transaction received from a client last night and there have been quite a few of them all with the same result. The odd thing is, the IPN is putting out that it is generating additional parameters such as shipping and generating download links and this is completely a service that is not configured as a digital product download. Can you elaborate on this as well? Maybe I have a bum copy of the IPN script of a prior upgrade that didn’t upgrade properly? It seems as though it is taking place as two transactions and then shuts down.
July 2, 2019 at 1:12 am #79666jayepauseSpectatorAlso, I received a $400 sale today through Stripe from the payment gateway addon and no notifications are going out on any of the payments for paypal or stripe either. So something is really off with this plugin because like I said, your WP Simple PayPal Cart works flawlessly.
I didn’t even know I received the $400 payment in Stripe until I checked lol.. But still, I should have been notified of all of these payments and nothing is coming through. Do you think deleting and re-installing will solve this?
July 2, 2019 at 6:01 am #79667adminKeymasterSomething very strange is going on this site. It is outputting the following line in the log file but then stopping execution. Somehow the IPN handling script gets killed at that stage.

Avatar Activation <yourdomain.com>
so the WordPress’s mailing system was failing when it tried to execute the email. The correct email format would be like this:
