When someone orders from my estore, I then receive hundreds of notifications to my inbox. How do I make them stop? My Paypal IPN code is 200, as I read in a previous post. My IPN log says SUCCESS all the way down.

- What exactly do you mean by “hundreds of notifications?”
- If a person places ONE order, how many notifications, and FROM WHERE, do you receive?
- Does this happen for EVERY order, or just for a particular one or kind?

It happens with every order.

I noticed the From/To addresses are the same.
What are you using to send the outgoing messages? Are you using the SMTP that “came” with your site? Or are you using an SMTP plugin to send the emails through Gmail?
If you used the Admin Functions menu to manually send a message to the “To” address, does it come from the same “From” address? And does it come through without the repeats?
October 12, 2017 at 7:02 pm #76568clementineMemberThank you.
On the WordPress site, there is this option:
Use WordPress Mailing System If checked the plugin will use the WordPress mail function to send emails (this is recommended). Otherwise it will use a simple PHP mail script that comes with this plugin.
Should I use the WordPress mailing system or should I use the mail script from the plugin? Is this possible the issue? Right now the “from” address is Beaux Cheveux <beauxcheveuxband@gmail.com>

October 12, 2017 at 7:20 pm #76570wzpModeratorWhen you first got your site; did the hosting provider give you an email SMTP service for the beaux-cheveux.net domain? And does it already have an “on-domain” email address (like admin@beaux-cheveux.net) associated with it? Are you using that SMTP server to send your emails? If that is the case, try setting up the emails, so that they’d come from whatever the on-domain email address is; instead of the gmail address.
The person ordering gets the proper emails. It’s just on our end that we get these emails over and over.
I believe the problem is somehow connected to use of the “off-domain” gmail address for the “From” address.
