eStore – How would I add a "Buy as a gift" button to check out?

I would like to add a button that would allow the person to buy the item as a gift for someone else. After they hit the button, a new form loads for them to input their friend’s information. The product is then delivered to that person.

Hi,eStore doesn’t have explicit gifting functionality.

Perhaps you can use the “Collect Customer Input” functionality as explained here:

Wouldn’t that entail having to manually send the product along? I can’t duplicate some code and send it automatically?

If you are talking about an encrypted product link then the answer is:

Yes, you (the admin) can generate encrypted product download link for any of your products from the eStore admin area (look in the admin functions menu). You can then send this link to anyone.
