Tagged: product specific, return url
In order to keep my thank you page (i.e. return URL in eStore settings) meaningful for all products, I have to say something extremely generic. Can I override this generic return URL in an individual product? If so, how do I do this? If not, are you planning to add this functionality soon?
Hi, We do have an option to override this. If you edit that product you will find it under “Buy Now, Subscription or Donation Type Button Specific Settings” section.
I have a follow-up question to this. I have several different thank you pages set up for different product types. Is it possible to control which one takes precedence when a buyer’s cart contains two different product types?
Examples:
1. Cart contains renewal tuition + records transcription fee –> thank you page for completing renewal
2. Cart contains new tuition + records transcription fee –> thank you page for completing new enrollment
3. Cart contains records transcription fee only –> generic thank you page for product/services
I tried using the generic product/service thank you url in the main settings section for eStore and the specific urls for both of the tuition products. This didn’t work as I had hoped. For example 1 above, I was returned to the generic product/service page. The user would not know what to do next in this case.
Is there a better way to set this up for the thank you pages I listed or do I need to just make a single page with links to the appropriate next steps?
Thank you!!
Make a new product using “renewal tuition + records transcription fee”. Now that product can have a specific thank you page. When someone buys that product, he gets sent to that product’s thank you page.
Thank you. Unfortunately, there are too many possible combinations to do it this way.
