eStore – how to override PayPal shipping settings

I am sharing a PayPal account with a business that requires a $10.00 shipping fee for all items purchased, but I don’t want any shipping added to any of my purchases. Is there any way I can override that PayPal setting from within the plugin? I know the easy answer is to get my own PayPal account, but that’s not possible. Help? I love this plugin, but won’t be able to use it if it can’t override PayPal settings. Thank you!

Hi Bdesign, make sure that in the plugin you don’t enable the following settings.

WP eStore >> Settings >> Payment Gateway Settings >> PayPal Settings

Use PayPal Profile Based Shipping <====Don’t enable this.

Check this if you want to use PayPal profile based shipping that you have configured in your PayPal account. Using this will ignore any other shipping options that you have specified in this plugin.

Hi bdesign, have you added any shipping charge any where else in the plugin i.e under

WP eStore >> Settings >> General Settings >> Shipping & Tax Related Settings?

Enables Tax Calculation: checked

Tax Rate: 0%

When that didn’t work, I also added these settings:

WP eStore >> Coupons/Discounts >> Manage Coupons/Discounts >> Automatic Discount Settings

Use Automatic Discount Feature: checked

Free Shipping for Sub-total Over: $1.00

And I also later added:

WP eStore >> Manage Products >> Product ID 1 >> Shipping & Tax

Item Shipping Cost: $0.00

Item Weight: 0

Item Specific Tax: 0%

Tell your partner (who own the account) to enable shipping override in the paypal account. If shipping override option is not enabled in the paypal account then the plugin won’t be able to do it.

They sent me a screencap of the shipping settings. “Use the shipping fee in the transaction instead of my calculator’s settings” is already set to yes. Their shipping calculator charges by quantity, if that helps any.

Okay please share the URL of a page where I can go and add an item to the cart then do a checkout. I will be able to see if the cart is submitting shipping data correctly to PayPal or not.
