Hello,
I search the forum before posting and I don’t think this has been answered before. I did come across this post here, but I am not sure if this answers my question – https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/requesting-new-feature-coupon-with-one-time-use-per-user-for-unlimited-users#post-33749
I am looking to see if I can offer a “one time” coupon or discount per customer that visits my site BEFORE checkout, I see that there is an add-on called “eStore Dynamic Coupons”, but i read the description and it says the coupon is offered after, again I am looking for the coupon to be offered before and at a one time discounted price, is this possible?
If so, how does the program know that the visitor used the coupon? Does it track by IP or is there something else it uses to determine that the visitor already used the coupon.
My site is selling domains, and I am bringing customers via affiliate sites, and I want to offer a “one time” coupon/or discount” that will give them 25% off, and make sure that the coupon or discount is not offered to them for future purchases, unless i setup another coupon.
Thank you
May 23, 2014 at 11:35 pm #63203adminKeymasterYou want to offer this coupon before they purchase anything on your site? So basically every visitor will get this discount?
May 24, 2014 at 12:04 am #63204YazoMemberHello,
Yes, correct. A coupon for every visitor to that “page” (such as special offer page). So basically when they checkout they see the coupon box underneath the total price, then they enter the coupon code for that one time.
If they happen to come back to that page, and they try to enter the same coupon code, it will say something like “coupon no longer valid”, etc. My intention is to bring them to my site with the coupon, and then let them purchase the rest of the domains at the normal price.
And of course i would like to create future coupons with the same conditions, say “one-time” promotions such as, christmas, holiday specials, or special launches, etc.
Hope that makes sense. If you need further explanation let me know.
Thanks
May 24, 2014 at 6:49 am #63205adminKeymasterI understand what you mean. You can create one time use coupon and it will work the way you explained but it doesn’t work on a per user basis. You will need to create a coupon for each user manually which is not a desirable task. What you are asking is not a very common thing to do (I have never had another user ask for this). Hosting companies (for example) will create one coupon then they will let all of their users use it. The more users use it the better (all the sales go to the site owner).

How about this working if i purchase the membership plugin? I could of swore i read somewhere that someone got it working that way? Could you please explain the procedure on how to do this?
Thanks again
June 11, 2014 at 6:31 am #63207adminKeymasterIts not automated like the way you described.
The following is the only automated way of creating coupon at the moment:

What you explained will be slightly different. We can do a custom job for that if you are interested:

January 18, 2015 at 11:35 pm #63209adminKeymasterNo, it can’t create conditional coupons dynamically.
August 10, 2015 at 5:12 pm #63210Ludovic S.MemberHi everybody,
I ask also for an option than provide me possibility to have a “one time usage coupon”.
For example, when I have a new follower on Twitter, I hope that I can send him an Automatic Direct Message (the same for all) that allow him to use a coupon for One of product of its choice on my website (and only one product, and only one time).
How I can do that ?
