Tagged: add to cart, cart, notification, product list
Hi guys, thanks for an awesome plugin.
A question (I could not find if it was mentioned somewhere else):
When a customer clicks on a Add To Card button the page refreshes and it either (depending on Settings) displays the page with products from the top, or scrolls to the Cart section, or opens a separate page with a Cart only.
Either way it does not display an immediate visual notification and takes a customer away from the place they just were and forces them to scroll through all products again to find the product they stopped at.
The above is a bit confusing from a customer point of view in case they want more than 1 product. I want customers browse the list of products as long as they need without going to the cart and back to products list.
One thing what would help with the above could be a visual notification:
Customer sees a product, clicks on Add To Cart, the page does not refresh but a small message “Product added to the Cart” appears near the Add To Cart button.
The message auto-disappears in, say, 2 seconds.
It could also be a “View Cart” link near each product. Or a floating cart box, or something alike (so a customer knows what to click to get to the cart).
Visual notification would help a lot.
I have products on the web site’s Home Page, and when I click Add To Cart (without redirecting to the cart), it is not possible to guess whether the product was added to the cart.
Is a visual notification possible? How to achieve that?
Thanks in advance,
Natalie
