Tagged: bank accounts, BSB, direct transfer, Multiple Payment Options
Hi
We are a non-profit organisation located in Australia and we have just purchased eStore and are very happy with it. Our Paypal facility is working well, but we have a number of older members who still prefer to transfer money via direct debit from their bank accounts – i.e. BSB: and Account:, etc.
Is it possible to offer such a facility to our members, as well as Paypal? And if so – how do we go about it? I looked at the option of using multiple payment pathways under Payment Gateways Settings, but couldn’t work out how to capture their BSB and Acc. details.
Cheers
Noel
Hi Noel,
In addition to the 3 payment gateways, you can also make the manual payment option available to your customers by enabling the “Use Multiple Payment Gateways” and also the “Use Manual Payment Option” checkboxes as per this link.

Regarding the collection of the customer’s BSB and acct number – you ordinarily do not collect this type of info from them.
Instead you should specify YOUR account details such as account name, BSB and account # in the “Directions for the Customer” box. (see example in one of the images in the link above)
This information will be sent to the customer via the order confirmation email which they can then use to make a direct payment to your account. Once you get the payment you ship the items.
Thanks peter – makes absolute sense now.
Cheers
