eStore – Give Assign Purchases to Imported Users

Hello! We are importing our users into WP, and then importing them into the correct membership level from WP to eMember.

There is a product that upon purchase, gives the user a certain level of membership to the site.

Since these imported users have already purchased the product on our previous site, how can we make sure they’re able to access the most up-to-date version of the software whenever they log into the site and go to their dashboard?

Basically, we need to give the legacy users from our previous website access to the digital download of the file and make sure that download link is encrypted so it can’t be shared.

I tried using the squeeze form – but they could enter ANYONE’s email address an they’d receive the download link even if they haven’t purchased.

Obviously, it won’t be an issue for new users because they’ll see it in their purchase history, but for the users of our previous site who have already paid, how would we do this?

What system was used for the original purchases? Was it eStore?

If it was eStore, it would (maybe) be possible to import the old sales records into the new system; ***IF*** the product ID and customer ID information hasn’t changed much.
