Tagged: double opt-in, GetResponse issue
I want to use a eStore Squeezepage to build a list. I encountered two issues
1. I have activated the “price-check” feature (to make sure that the price of the donwloaded free product is zero). I have set the “comma” to be the currency separator and the “dot” to group thousands (German standard). The price of the freebie is set to 0,0 albei the mail (that should contain the downloadlink) states that the check couldn’t establish that the price was zero. I have deactivated the check for the time being but I really would like to use it.
2. I have set my GetRespons to double opt-in (required by law in Germany) The problem is that eStore sends the e-mail with the download link BEFORE the new customer has confirmed the double-optin page.
There is no information in the logfiles whatsoever.
Thanks for helping me out.
Cheers Gerd
Hi Gerd, Don’t enter the price value with comma in it. Enter only the number (example: 0) and you won’t have that issue anymore. The plugin has the capability to format the price amount when it shows to the user. You can control the price display formatting from eStore settings -> Advanced Settings -> Price Display Settings area.
The getresponse list signup and the sending of the digital item from eStore are independent. At this stage we don’t have an option where the eStore email only goes out after the double opt-in.
thanks 4 the fast reply. would be great if u could solve the issue with the double optin. as far as I know double optin is an issue not only in europe.
