Hi,
I just bought this plugin.
I’m configuring the General Store Settings, and I have selected Spanish for my shopping cart to be displayed in.
When I do this my entire website frontend shows a blank, white window, with no content.
I have tried to select other languages, like English, French and Catalan. The website doesn’t desappear if I select any of those languages.
My website is [soysintotermica.com]. It’s in Spanish. I’m running WP eStore v8.2.4, WordPress version 5.6–es_ES, PHP version 7.3.25
Would you please review what’s going wrong?
January 22, 2021 at 3:09 pm #82391wzpModeratorPlease give us instructions, on how to make the issue appear.
January 22, 2021 at 3:16 pm #82392martaParticipantI’m not sure if I understand what you mean.
The issue appears when I select Spanish as language in your plugin. Is it working for you?
Other languages are not causing an issue at all.
What instructions can I give you, other than set the language to Spanish and check if it’s working.
It could be related to some forbidden character, like an “accent”, that is causing the issue.
What else can I say…? I’m using Astra theme. Does it help?
January 22, 2021 at 5:33 pm #82393wzpModeratorYou gave us a URL to your site. Are we supposed to do anything? It comes up, without issue. Is something bad supposed to happen?
January 22, 2021 at 8:23 pm #82394adminKeymasterDid you modify the spanish language translation file by any chance? If you did, was is converted to UTF-8 formatting?
January 23, 2021 at 12:59 am #82395martaParticipantHi @admin
I didn’t change anything at all, because I had just installed your plugin and selected Spanish. But your link helped me! I’ve seen that the spa.php file was not saved with UTF-8, but windows-1252.
So, I guess it can’t work for you either, if you select Spanish. Have you checked?
As for me, I have saved the file with UTF-8 now, and I have re-written the translation so that not weird character shows up.
Let me know if you want me to send you the new file, so that you can update your plugin and no one else experience this issue with your Spanish translation.
January 24, 2021 at 5:33 pm #82406adminKeymasterThank you. We rely on our users for the language translation file. So the last time this language file was given to us must have messed up the formatting. I have sent you an email so you can reply back to it and send us the new language file.
