eStore – file opening in new window, not downloading, even when box is checked

I have added products and am trying to get them to auto download when a user clicks the link (they’re free downloads). When I check the process, the file opens in a new window with my Amazon S3 link, not an auto download. I have gone to Digital Content Details > Downloadable, and it’s checked. I’ve scoured the forums. What am I doing wrong?

It is a “media disposition” issue, and it is browser setting dependent. You can tell Amazon S3 to “suggest” to the browser, what the media disposition should be. Please see the fourth post, in this thread:
