Tips and Tricks HQ Support Portal › Forums › WP eStore Forum › WP eStore Troubleshooting › EStore Extra Shortcodes: tracking information in URL causes Forbidden error?
Hi,
I believe I have just discovered that when a source URL includes tacked-on third-party tracking info, the Buy Now feature of Estore Extra Shortcodes fails to work. For example, I’ve found my way to one of our affiliate sites via a promotional email, which adds the following gobledygook to the end of the page url:
[http://smallbeerpress.com/books/2017/08/15/in-other-lands/?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=082117%20What%27s%20Up%20in%20YA?&utm_term=BookRiot_WhatsUpInYA]
Then, from that page, I click a link that would normally add a certain product to our eStore cart:
Instead, I get a 403 forbidden error.

No error(s) when I directly access the link…

The error only seems to occur, when I click the link from the original site. Do you have some kind of security settings on the [weightlessbooks.com] site, that prevents another site from directly accessing subdirectories on the WP installation?
WP eStore has nothing to do with this.
When I enter the following link in the browser, it works fine:
Something else on your site is preventing the link on that page from working. Show this difference to your hosting provider so they can tell you what is going on your site.
