    Heya,

Just tried a re-install of estore 7.07 (deactivated, deleted, installed and activated) from 7.00 but still have an issue.

The goo.gl shortening url is running successfully as per the log, but there is no URL being given back.

Three lines of success in the log but it looks to be an empty string.

    Any help appreciated.

    Kind Regards,

    Shane

In order to narrow down “the usual suspects…”

Can you generate NON-shortened encrypted links, okay?

Yes, that seems to work just fine.

    Kind Regards,

Have you been successfully using URL shortening before?

Yes, it had been working fine for months.

I’d upgraded the plugin a couple of times, and it had still been working.

It stopped working and I’ve updated to the latest version and it’s still not working.

I’m sure it’s some issue with the return from the service as it’s showing SUCCESS for the three steps in the logs.

So… it stopped working, right before your last upgrade; not after?

    @admin is investigating the situation.

The link shortening feature is definitely working as it should (I have tested this myself).

It is likely, your server is blocking the API query to Google’s server. What estore version did you upgrade it from? If you go back to that version, does it work?

    G’day folks,

Think i found the cause and fixed it.

There was an issue with curl that was fixed with an operating system update (Fedora 19)

I haven’t changed it back use google yet but don’t think it will have an issue.

    cheers,

    Shane
