eStore – encrypted download links not always working on mobile devices

Are encrypted download links sent via email supported on mobile devices?

I have been receiving an increasing number of emails from customers on mobile devices saying that the emailed download links are not working. I sell eBooks in PDF format.

However, when I test the email links on my computer they work. So I suspect something is going on with mobile devices.

I am using the most current version of eStore and PDF stamper.

If download links are not supported on mobile devices, are there any tweaks that can be implemented to reduce the failure rates?

It really depends upon the mobile device/browser that is being used. We would need more information; such as debug logs, and the type of device/browser being used.

This issue is not limited to eStore; I notice the same problem when using my Kindle Fire, sometimes to download from other sites. File downloading system on a mobile device is not as robust as a desktop PC yet. So this is more of an issue that is outside your hand at this stage. Over time mobile devices will enhance their download system and it will get better.

Anyway, please share download manager debug log from eStore so we will be able to tell you if there is anything going wrong in eStore on your site.
