Everything was working perfectly up until the 20th. There were no sales from the 20th to the 25th. We have four sales in the last two days but no email notifications are going to the customer or admin.
The following I did to debug:
0. Reviewed the forum.
1. Did one test purchase and everything worked correctly except no email notifications were received from the plugin.
2. I set up the debug log and did another test purchase. The log showed the plugin was sending out the emails. They were not going to spam folders at the destination. They were not arriving at all.
3. I installed the test email plugin and it worked.
4. I used the “send email to customer” in the Admin Functions menu using the same email address as was used in the notifications. It worked.
5. The only changes to the plugin I had made was to change the shipping costs before the sales occurred. Nothing else was touched.
6. The hosting company said they are not blocking the emails as spam although they are having a specialist look at it.
Any idea what is going on?

Please post the ENTIRE UNEDITED log entry sequence for that test.

Which hosting company, pray tell?
December 28, 2016 at 11:19 pm #74837adminKeymasterIf the plugin’s debug log file is saying that an email was sent then the plugin DEFINITELY executed the email sending command. The rest depends on a lot of other factors that the plugin can’t control. Please fully read the following post which will help you understand:
Try the suggested options mentioned in the checklist items and that should help.

December 29, 2016 at 7:08 am #74839Al AnthonyParticipantI forgot to mention this. I had deactivated W3 Total Cache. This wouldn’t have anything to do with it, would it?
Here are the log files on another test transaction I did this evening.
…..

December 29, 2016 at 5:24 pm #74841Al AnthonyParticipantThanks very much. Eventually we are moving to WPEngine. I’ll see if I can get it fixed.
December 30, 2016 at 1:41 am #74842Al AnthonyParticipantI added the SMTP plugin and I have it working now, although for some reason, only in text not HTML. However, glory be praised.
