This may be a little “picky”, but it confused me for a minute, so it will probably confuse people that buy from my site as well…
While testing a new site, I set up a membership (with eMember). The subscription payments are handled through eStore. I have the process set up and it is working fine. The confusion comes from the emails that are sent when a subscription payment is made. The email says “Thanks for your purchase.”. When I first saw it, my thought was that something was wrong because I hadn’t “purchased” anything. Then I realized that it was just a payment made on a subscription.
I think it would be better if, for a subscription payment, that the message said “Thanks for you subscription payment.” (or something similar). Is this something that is possible?
Hi,
The email text is part of a default email body which is configured within the eStore settings page. As far as i know eStore doesn’t have a way of conditionally sending a particular email based on the type of product sold.
There’s nothing to stop you from editing the text in the email body in the settings but just keep in mind that if you then sell a non-subscription item the email might be confusing to others.
I should have realized that this was part of the email settings…my bad!
I have changed them to be more “generic” so that they can apply to either a purchased product or a subscription payment.
