Hello team,
Great work on this plug-in and I’m already in my third year of use and it still works awesome-ly.
I’m using wp estore 6.5.7, and using the shortcode:
[wp_eStore_category_products_fancy id=1 style=3 order=1 type=1 number=6]
and I’m using it as a way to display other related products on the same page as the main individual product.
For example, the page is about a specific romance book, and I’ve placed the above shortcode at the bottom of the page to randomly display other books from the romance category and the books will change even when you refresh the page so that’s good.
However, among the randomly 6 products being displayed, it sometimes displays the same product as the one on top of the page, which would make it redundant.
I’ve read the methods of forming categories and just omitting that particular product but that would mean I would have to make 1 category for each product I have which is almost over 100 categories?
Is there a way to just omit that particular product ID to not include in the random 6 products being displayed or if there a completely different way , please feel free to suggest. Thanks.
February 25, 2014 at 5:33 pm #61082wzpModeratorIt would require a custom modification to the shortcode, something like “except_id=X” for that to work. If you are interested in having us do something like this; please complete the custom work order quote, and someone will get back to you:

On another note, you may want to upgrade your copy of eStore to the latest version:

March 10, 2014 at 5:43 pm #61084wzpModeratorNo matter what version you have, you must still ask us for a custom work order quote; if you want that capability.
Whether or not, you decide not to ask for a custom work order, you should at least update your copy of eStore.

Did you make the custom code already for lovinwordpress? Let me know if I would need to get a separate quote or if I could buy the modified shortcode to install myself.
Thank you!
