No, because the checkout is anonymous. You can create a coupon that can be used only once. Or you can create a conditional coupon that applies to one product only (the product that you created for signup). Then have different product for other subscription/upgrade etc. The same customer is not likely to signup again again so you get a similar effect with that coupon.
