Hi!
We sell digital content as stamped PDF Files and it works fine. The files contains pictures.
It’s possible to use the digital product variations with ZIP and PDF Files?
Short Example:
Digital Product 1
as
Stamped PDF File – 10.00$
ZIP File – 13.00$
Thank you for support!
Andy
July 1, 2013 at 12:09 am #56391adminKeymasterHi Andy, yes you should be able to do that if the zip file doesn’t have PDF file that needs to be stamped. So I just want to clarify that you don’t have a PDF file inside the zip file which need to be stamped correct?
July 1, 2013 at 2:18 pm #56392collandiMemberHi!
Sounds good!
I have no PDF in the ZIP file.
What I want is:
The users can choose and put in the basket, what they want!
A stamped PDF File (now ist works fine and must be stamped, if the user buy it)
OR
a ZIP File with JPGs only inside (without stamping).
It may be that it is also mixed in the basket (PDF and ZIP). Depending on what the user wants.
Any chance to do that?
If it’s possible, what I have to do in the eStore?
– Enable “Stamp the PDF File” in the AddOn Settings
– Digital Product Variations like the screenshot

That would be great, if it works!

Andy
PS: I can try it out, but I’m afraid to destroy something in the good working shop configuration.
July 2, 2013 at 2:00 am #56393adminKeymasterHi, In that case I would recommend you to do the “bundled product” approach. You can create one eStore product with just the PDF file. Another product with just the zip file. Then the 3rd product will be a combination of the first 2 products that you created. Now, you can have 3 purchase buttons for these 3 products and the user will get the correct download. Here is the documentation on how to create package/bundle products:
July 2, 2013 at 9:40 am #56394collandiMemberThe ZIP File and the PDF File are different formats. Nobody will purchase both at the same time.
July 2, 2013 at 3:57 pm #56395collandiMemberI tried and it works!!!
If I purchase the Format: PDF I get a stamped file.
If I purchase the Format: ZIP I get the ZIP File.
The settings:

Now I have to think about whats happen, if we bundle the products!
Do you have a helpful idea?
Best regards
Andy
July 3, 2013 at 2:18 am #56396adminKeymasterIf the customers will only buy one or the other then you don’t need to bundle them. The way you have setup now is good.
July 3, 2013 at 10:46 am #56397collandiMemberYou right.
But I mean another szenario:
I have product 1 as zip and pdf, product 2 as zip and pdf.
What will happen if I put these products to a new bundled product?
That’s an adventure!
Regards
Andy
