I’m needing an extra field in the delivery address to add any special instruction or messages.

I know if it’s a single product I can use the customer input bit, but I need this extra field at the cart level.

I can see where to add the field in the form but how is this processed and passed through for admin to see?

Which payment gateway are you using for the checkout?

We are working on adding a feature that will enable users to configure and collect any kind of custom instruction during checkout. We should have something ready in a few weeks.

In the meantime, have a look at this post and let me know if the workaround would work for you:

the problem with a Custom Form on the Thank You page post-payment processing seems to be relating that to the transaction.

It would mean the client entering the additional field and also their name – if they don’t do this how do we match the extra info the the payment.

It also means the seller gets 3 emails for every sale – the order conformation from estore, the paypal conformation and the Custom form input

PS We switched to paypal after failing to get sagepay working
