I’m using version 6.8.8 of wp eStore.
For a week or so as customers placed orders they are stored as new customers within the database and I would get an auto responder email (that I had set up) whenever a sale was made, as well as the PayPal email.
Now, whenever someone places an order, they are not put in the database, their account details are not captured, their order details are not captured and I do not get an email once they have checkout.
The only way I know I have a sale (and what they ordered) is when I get a Paypal invoice.
December 11, 2012 at 5:43 am #52243adminKeymasterOne of the following is happening:
1) You turned off the PayPal IPN in your PayPal account
2) You have added a firewall type plugin that is blocking PayPal’s IPN
3) Your hosting provider have made changes on the server which is causing the PayPal IPN to be blocked
4) You changed some settings in eStore.
Go through the following two posts and do what is suggest. It will help you find out what you did wrong or where things are going wrong:
Enable debug and run a test transaction – https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/how-and-when-to-enable-debug-and-what-does-it-do
What to do if debug file is empty – https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/what-to-do-if-the-debug-file-is-empty
December 11, 2012 at 9:51 pm #52244tonyharrisonMemberOK, I’ll take a look at your suggestions. The part I did not make clear in my message was that I had not changed anything. From the time the site went live I purposely did not mess with anything because I had tested end-to-end and did not want to repeat that process until the sale was over.
If I haven’t done anything, that would point to item 3 in your list.
February 7, 2013 at 11:08 pm #52245tonyharrisonMemberOK, so I took a break over the New Year and have gone back to trying to troubleshoot this.
All log files show success, but the customer is not added into the database, nor do I get the notification of sale from WP, I just get the one from PayPal.
The PayPal transaction shows an HTTP response code of 200.
I cannot find an issue with firewalling, and (like I say) no errors indicated in the log files.
The host assures me that they are not blocking anything, so I’m a little lost as to where to go now.
Any help is gratefully received
tony
