I recently purchased the eStore and Affiliate software for selling my upcoming eBook. It was brought to my attention that when you upload an ebook to your media files, as recommended in the eStore set-up instructions, that it makes it available to anyone online if they just enter the right URL to access your wp-content file.
For example: [www.myblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10] (just an example not a real site). This would lead to a page that lists everything uploaded to the blog that month, including a full copy of a PDF ebook. So, if someone really wanted to, they could download your book without paying for it by accessing your upload page in that way.
Is there another way to upload a product to sell in the eStore without compromising it in that way? Or is there a way to encode a product so that someone accessing your upload page would not be able to click-on and access the file without paying for it? This is a serious concern for me. Thank you.
