I created a specific membership level with a trial period, and then made it a product in eStore. My client is afraid the some users will quit the process before registering, when presented with the Paypal screen. The way your system is currently setup is: Click purchase -> make Paypal payment -> receive registration email -> register -> login.
My client wants to change the order of this process to:
Click purchase -> register -> make Paypal payment -> login. That way client can still grow their Mailchimp list even if users bounce after being taken to Paypal. Is there a way to do this?
Or, is there simply a way to force all potential registered users to the registration page first (and add them to the mailing list), then let them choose their membership level, and then finally be taken to the Paypal payment processing?

To make WP eStore not let anyone continute to checkout unless they are logged in you simply have to check the “Only Logged In Members Can Checkout” field in the “AddOn Settings” tab of the WP eStore plugin
July 24, 2012 at 3:34 am #47625bradelectroMemberOK I checked “Only Logged In Members Can Checkout” field in the “AddOn Settings” tab of the WP eStore plugin, and it works for the cart, i.e. redirects anonymous users to a page I made called “register first,” however, it doesn’t seem to effect the behavior of my subscribe now buttons, which is what my client really wants. She basically wants *all* users making transactions (from cart, wp_eStore_subscribe shortcode, buy now buttons) to have to be registered first.
What do I do?
July 24, 2012 at 5:39 am #47626adminKeymasterPlace the subscription button inside a section protected area so anonymous users can’t see it until they log in:
