After adding items to cart and selecting checkout with Paypal, I get the following error:
“Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access /wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/eStore_payment_submission.php on this server.”
I have tried changing to manual and I get the same error. I double checked all of my Payment Gateway settings and everything appears to be fine.
Go to the settings -> Advanced Settings Menu of eStore. Then check the “Enable Alternate Redirection Method” option and save it.
Do you have a test page we can try?
Do you have any kind of security plugins installed?
I tried that option and it goes to a page the shows Processing Order and just stays on that page.
This is the page that we are using for setup and testing.

(FYI) I am getting the same error on other pages, like the affiliate plugin pages. Which is leading me to believe it might be a permissions issue and I might need to change the CHMOD settings….thoughts?
Your issue sounds like it might be caused by the “mod security rules” on your server.
You should explain the behaviour to your host provider and ask them to help you address it.
Here’s an example of a very similar situation as yours (but different scenario):

We were able to get the paypal feature working.
