MemberCannot checkout with Credit Card/Debit card. Have Business Paypal Standard Account. Can pay through paypal, but not with Credit Card/Debit Card

ModeratorYou need to have your PayPal Business account “verified,” before you can accept credit/debit cards. Your business must also be based in a country that PayPal allows card processing from. This is a requirement from PayPal.

MemberMy PayPal Business account is verified. Customers can pay through PayPal if they have account, but if you click on Pay with Credit or Debit Card, it gives error and will not accept payment. I’m in the US and paypal allows credit card processing. Paypal tells me its a plugin issue and My account is set up correctly through paypal to accept credit cards. However, I’ve done several tests trying to pay with my bank card and it goes to a PayPal screen to “try again”. The transactions are being deducted from my bank account, but not showing up on paypal. I think it may be more a paypal issue. Here is the link to the page. freedommx.com/ryan-hughes-mx-school/ Could this plugin being conflicting with another one of my plugins? I found on the forum some plugins that may not work well with Estore, but don’t understand why it works paying through paypal account and not Guest Checkout. It would seem if there is a conflicting plugin, then it wouldn’t work at all.

Memberfound this on paypal.
Is this somewhere in the Estore plugin?
With an Checkout custom-coded solution, there is an additional step:
Set SOLUTIONTYPE=Sole in your initial SetExpressCheckout API call.
If you’re using a third-party shopping cart, you’ll need to work with them or your developer to implement this variable.
As long as SOLUTIONTYPE=Sole is passed in the SetExpressCheckout API, Guest Checkout will be enabled.
In order for SOLUTIONTYPE=Sole to work, you must have PayPal Account Optional set to On within the PayPal account settings (see below).
Many third-party carts provide an Enable Guest Checkout option in the Administration view of their Checkout module.

What kind of error? Please provide a live URL link, and *****EXACT***** instructions on how we can observe this issue on your site.

KeymasterAs far as I can see, the PayPal email address you specified for this install isn’t a business one. For a business account, PayPal automatically shows the credit card payment option. Thats how it just works by default (too many of our users use it so we know how it works).
You can test how it is suppose to show the option by going to the following page then adding a product and clicking the paypal checkout button (if you just land on the PayPal’s checkout page, you will see how it is suppose to work):

When you go to your paypal account, do you see the business setup page (where you enter your business details)?

MemberIt is a paypal business account under Freedom MX. I have verified this. I have followed all of PayPal’s instructions to accept credit/debit cards. I’ve sent them screenshots of the test amounts being deducted from my account even though getting the error to Try Again. The transactions are not showing up under my paypal summary. I also tried deactivating the WP Estore and using the WP Simple Paypal Shopping Cart that I purchased through Tips & Tricks and the same thing is happening. I’m thinking it has to be on the paypal side. I’ve put screenshots on the following link: freedommx.com/paypal-issue/

KeymasterIs this a sub paypal account under another account?
Do another test. Temporarily, go to the settings menu of the plugin and enter another paypal email address of a different account (maybe one of your family member’s account). Click on the checkout to test the behavior. Does it show the exact same behavior or not? If not then this will confirm that the paypal account is the issue.

MemberIt is not a sub paypal account. I did what you suggested and used a different Business paypal account and it worked fine checking out as guest and paying with credit card. I believe this is definitely a paypal issue and I’m still working with them on this issue.
