Someone recommended to me that I use WP eStore for taking payments so I purchased the plugin and also the Gateway Bundle Add on as I am setup with Stripe and plan to use Stripe Subscription for recurring payments.
After a consumer clicks the Pay button they are brought to a new page on my site where a page long form of customer info is needed for them to make payment. Is there an easy way to reduce the required info a consumer needs to enter when making a purchase?
I went to Stripe’s website and they have a solution where you enter html & javascript into the page and then upload a php file server side to handle the request. Their form is simple and clean and only requires the most basic consumer information to process payment.
I’m hoping there’s an easy way to adjust the required info through WP eStore otherwise I may have purchased WP eStore without a need for it. Please point me in the right direction.
Hi, We have plans to implement the Basic Stripe checkout option. But it’s still not available in the plugin.
For a digital product checkout you only need to fill in the billing details and the credit card.
We use the advanced Stripe checkout API which allows us to handle all kinds of Stripe checkout (shopping cart, buy now and subscriptions). This is why we use that one.
The one you are referring to is a more basic checkout which has limitations (that one is mostly good for a buy now type checkout). We are currently working on adding that option into the addon anyway.
