Tagged: cart, cart widget, css, item name, shopping cart, size
I have many items with long names. which means that they start going over the edge of the shopping cart. I would like to truncate them, so that they stay inside the widget area. I have tried to find different shopping cart options, but nothing seems to help. The compact cart isn’t very useful because it’s not enough info for the customer. really the best option would be for it to just truncate the titles and stay inside the widget area. I have also tried firebug to see what was accessible but the only options that seem accessible are font size, which isn’t ideal.
Here is a screen shot of what it’s doing [http://www.chriswellsfx.com/shopping.png]
Thanks
Your product names actually have no spaces in them so it is getting treated as a really really long word. You should change the underscore (_) with a space and then the cart will be able to break the words and fit the name nicely.
Alternatively, if you share a URL of the page where I can go, add an item and see the cart then I should be able to give you some CSS tweak for it.
Yes, that worked, now it stays the right size.
Thanks for the help!
