Hi,
When sending a subscription payment to PayPal receive the following error:
Things don’t appear to be working at the moment. Please try again later.
I searched the forum and found the video concerning this issue. The video is old and doe not show the same screens as the new PayPal layout. I cannot find the encrypted payments option.
All other factors in the video are ok.
Thanks
Rick
OK, I did finally find the encrypted option and it was off. So I did not have to “fix” anything that the video suggested.
So I am not sure how to proceed at this point.
Rick
So, are you still having problems getting PayPal subscriptions to work???
You are trying to use PayPal subscription buttons?
Please turn on the eStore debug log, try again, and then check for error messages in the debug logs.
Also, if you post the URL of the page where you have your subscription button, I can inspect it and see what is going wrong with it.
Hi,
I turned on debug, reset log file, checked permissions, tried subscription button again but it did not put anything in the log file. I’m sure there must be something simple that I’m missing. I rarely have to contact support for anything other than my server itself.
Here is the page I am developing with several buttons, all do the same thing.

So here’s an update. The buy product buttons seem to work correctly. It’s the subscription buttons that give me the error.
Okay, that narrows it… Could you please take a few screenshots of the settings you are using for the “TLC Backup Only” subscription, and post a link to them for us to examine? And also tell us the EXACT shortcode you are using, for that button.
I will take a look at your settings and see what values are causing PayPal to reject the button submissions. I have sent you an email for it.
Update: Turned out that an incorrect paypal email address value was entered in the settings. So PayPal wasn’t accepting payment request for that email address.
