Hey Admin!
I was wondering if I could get a detailed report on subscription payments that were attempted and denied. It has been one year since I implemented this and I have no clue if the expired accounts terminated their subscription billing agreement or my estore/emember combination didn’t bill them at all when their subscription ended.
Looking forward to your reply.
Thank you.
November 16, 2012 at 3:50 am #51421adminKeymasterThe re-billing of a subscription is not dependent on estore or emember. Once a subscription is setup with PayPal, it will continue to re-bill at the agreed interval. If a re-bill fails, PayPal will send you (the admin) an email. It also sends a notification to the plugin and eMember will deactivate that account. You can get details of re-bills and failures from your PayPal account. Go to the payment history tab in your PayPal account and filter the data. PayPal has articles that shows you how to view transaction history and data in your PayPal account.
November 16, 2012 at 7:03 pm #51422Sabeeh ul HassanMemberThat addresses my concern on this. On another note, I have just noticed that on the PayPal Email address, I received this notification where it says
Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notification (IPN) messages. Messages sent to the following URL(s) are not being received:
If you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information.
Once you or your service provider fix this problem, you or your service provider can resend the failed messages from the IPN History page. If this problem continues, PayPal may disable the IPN feature for your account.
Can this have something to do with billings that didn’t occur? Please advice! And also, if this has nothing to do with the billing part, why did this error even show up.
Thank you and looking forward.
November 17, 2012 at 4:08 am #51423adminKeymasterThe IPN failing notification from PayPal means… your server is rejecting PayPal’s IPN. This post has more explanation on this topic:

Thank you for the reply. I was looking into my hosting support to find something that might resolve this problem but I had to contact their support and had this reply:
Is a particular port needed for this to work? Can you give us the server requirements so we know what to look into?
Can you please help me figuring this out.
November 18, 2012 at 10:51 pm #51425Sabeeh ul HassanMemberI got this figured out on another of your posts.
