Hello,
The eStore ‘Buy Now’ button does not appear on my page–only the code appears. This is the code I’m using: [wp_eStore_buy_now:product_id:9:end]
And below that I have included the shopping cart: [wp_eStore_cart]
Here is the page in which I am having the issue:
The version of the WP eStore plugin that is being used is: Version v6.9.8.9
I’m bewildered because I followed the exact process described on the Quick Start Installation video on another website and the ‘Buy Now’ button and cart showed up like a charm with everything working correctly. Then I did the same exact process on the above listed website and it won’t work.
I’ve tried various troubleshooting on my own as well as trying to find a solution on the forum, but so far have found similar entries but nothing that will solve my issue.
Here’s a list of some of the things I have tried:
-Searched for and eliminated plugin conflicts
-Comparing the Settings on the site that I had not problem with the Settings on the site with the issues–not finding anything that stands out as a problem
-Created a brand new page to start fresh
-Checked product settings
-Tried adding shortcode to HTML page only
-Tried different types of buttons other than the one listed way above
-Tried using a different browser (Chrome and Firefox) to view and create page
Not sure what else to try at this point. Can you think of any solutions that might work? Thank you in advance for any help you can give.
August 22, 2013 at 10:31 am #57323adminKeymasterVery strange… can you please create a brand new WordPress page (just for testing) then place the following shortcode on that page (only put the following shortcode on that page).
[wp_eStore_buy_now_button id=9]
Share the URL of that page once you do that so I can check a few things.

Thank you so much for looking into this.

August 25, 2013 at 11:11 pm #57325adminKeymasterHi Kelli, That URL gives me a parked domain. Is this a new domain or has your domain just expired?
August 26, 2013 at 12:00 am #57326kelliclaypoolMemberHmmm…it opens fine for me. Will you please try it again? I’ll also clear my cache to be sure that it opens. Domain is in good standings and having had it since 2007. Weird!

August 26, 2013 at 5:27 am #57328adminKeymasterWhatever you did worked… I was able to access the page this time.
I see that it has some hidden HTML tags around that shortcode. I want to eliminate the possibility that those tags are interfering. Please edit that page then go to the “Text” view and remove any hidden HTML code. Only keep the shortcode and save the page. Then check the page in the browser.
August 26, 2013 at 11:52 am #57329kelliclaypoolMemberThank you for your reply. I’ve removed the hidden code and unfortunately it’s still not working.

August 26, 2013 at 11:19 pm #57330adminKeymasterokay at this stage, I am pretty sure you have another plugin which is breaking the WordPress’s shortcode functionality. So can you please do the following plugin test and report back:

Here is another post where another user had this same issue and it turned out to be a rogue plugin:

August 27, 2013 at 3:17 am #57331kelliclaypoolMemberOkay, here’s what I’ve done. Tested themes. Genesis Framework and OptimizePress2 works fine with cart plugin. Still had the issue.
Cleaned up my database and removed fragments that deleted plugins left behind. Still had the issue.
Even though I’ve done this before, I went through all of my plugins and deactivated except for ecart and affiliate plugins. Buy Now button worked fine. Then one by one I reactivated plugins. And that’s when I found the culprit….HeadSpace2. This is the plugin that gave me so much grief.

Goodbye HeadSpace2 and hello working ecart! Let the sales begin!
Thank you for being patient with me. I so greatly appreciate it!
