eStore – best method to sell subscriptions and single payment items at same time

Hi guys,

I am in the process of setting up my products using eStore. I am putting all of my products on one page. All of the products are single payment items except one product which will be a subscription.

I read on your site here http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/how-to-add-a-subscription-button-for-recurring-payment-400 that subscriptions cannot be put into the cart. All of the products I am offering are related including the subscription and I am expecting the customer to purchase a handful of products at one time. I am trying to make the purchasing process as user-friendly and as simple as possible.

Any suggestions on how to handle the subscription product in the mix with the other single payment items? Is there a way to streamline the process and make it flow together somehow? What is the best approach?

Sorry the question is a bit vague. I know you guys probably deal with a lot of product type combinations so I thought I’d ask in case you had some insight.

Hi Ashley,

There really is no avoiding the fact that you will have to create separate products for the single and subscription payment plans.

Just make it clear on the product landing page which is which and you shouldn’t have a problem regarding any confusion from your visitors.
