I want to bulk upload my inventory details from a spreadsheet. I downloaded the products.csv template and constructed my spreadsheet from that, but I can’t figure out what some of the columns are for and the examples in the template haven’t helped (e.g., a1, p1, sra, etc.). Neither can I find columns for a number of the settings that appear on the “Manage Products” page (e.g., “duration of download link,” etc.). Is there a document that will tell me what each column is for and what kind data each requires (specific text, boolean, special abbreviation, etc.) as well as which tables/columns other product details are stored in?

Does uploading a cvs replace, append, or update an existing product table? Is it possible to just update certain columns for existing products? For instance, I might later want to modify all my product descriptions but none of the other information.

    Thank you.

    As described in this thread…

    https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/is-there-an-explanation-of-productcsv-headers

The purpose of bulk uploading is to give you a “quick start” to adding existing products to eStore; and not a regular way of maintaining the product database. The columns you mentioned as typically reserved for internal use, and are usually inconsequential; but necessary for the bulk importing process to properly work.

The following video tutorial should be helpful for you:
