Hi,
I use have both WP eStore and WP eMember, and have successfully used them on other sites. I have a new venture where we are selling simple mobile websites. We are offering the option to purchase a membership and then get a discount on each site (for people who would want multiple), or the option to purchase on a one time basis. I started out to use eStore and eMember, created a membership level in eMember, and the 3 products in eStore (membership purchase, site purchase for members, and site purchase for non members) My Plan was to offer the Membership or One Site option on the main part of my site, and if someone opted for membership, then in the members are have a button that was only available to members for the discounted site purchase (using the extra shortcode that ties it to membership level)
I run into the problem with collecting the data to create the site. I want to use a contact/order form, but I am looking for a way to tie it to the purchase. I don’t think that I can just place the contact form on the Thank You page because a reasonably smart person could just keep that URL and fill out the form multiple times.
I am looking at Gravity Forms because it can function like an “order form” but before I purchases I wanted to see if I could get any alternatives here. Is there a way to link eStore to a form that is only available after a purchase? Any alternatives you can suggest?
Thanks
You can add a “Transaction/Order ID” field in the form. Every purchase will have a unique transaction ID attached to it (After the sale the customer will know this transaction ID for this purchase). This will stop people from being able to fill in the form twice (you will know if the provided transaction ID has already been used or not).
