eStore and License Manager with subscription

I have a couple questions about setting up a subscription based product that includes a license key. The product will be a Windows application that will have a monthly payment schedule.

1.) How is the “Expiry Date” set for the license key at initial purchase?

2.) If a subscription payment is not made, does eStore pass this info to the License Manager which would then set the status to “Expired”?

The expiry would be for 1 month. If no payment is made, it will automagically expire.
