I have several websites on which I am using eStore and eMember. So far I have been using PayPal for collecting payments. Now I would like to use payment gateways like Authorize.net or Virtual Merchant so I’d be able to charge client’s credit card directly on my website. Using such payment gateways requires SSL certificate for secure payments. Obtaining SSL certificate for each website makes it very expensive. I was thinking of allocating a central website for collecting payments. But then I thought how I could collect buyers info (for product sale or membership site) on a certain website but collect the payment securely on the central website (that is different from the other websites that I have). How is it possible? Any guidance?
Example:
Buyer wants to buy my OBM community membership here: [http://community.onlinebusinessmasterysystem.com/join-us]
Once clicked on Join Now, buyer is transferred to the secure central website for payment of the membership fee (currently it is paypal but as I said I want to change it to something else like [https://dks.net]).
How can we collect buyer info (or send them to the registration page for membership site) on the product page or membership page and then send them to the secure page for payment?
Hope it is clear. Thanks for your help.

Mostly, people want to use on-site checkout so the customer never have to leave the website. But if you are going to send them to another website for payment then how is that any better?
I go to domain A.com to buy something then it sends me to domain B.com (an unknown domain to me) for payment? I am going to get very suspicious (bad for conversion). I go to A.com then it sends me to a reputable domain like paypal.com (everyone loves that because paypal is well known and reputable).
If you don’t have the money for it, then don’t go for SSL for now.
