We have been using the eStore plugin on our site for a little while now with great success, however, this week we have started having issues within our Admin Functions. When we try to generate the download links for our bundled product not all of the links actually get made/generated. We have tried multiple times, each time different links generate while others do not. When individually done all works as it should. In addition, portions of our bundled product do not get included in the email portion of this section.
We have updated the plugin with no change. We have also tested the theme and the plugin, both show they are working okay.
Not sure what could be causing this. Please help. Thanks.
eStore Version v7.1.7
WordPress Version 4.1.1
March 12, 2015 at 10:41 pm #69087adminKeymasterAre you using digital variations in some of the products used in the bundle? Enable the debug option then generate a link for your bundled product. Share a link to the page where you have this bundled product for sale so I can inspect it. What is the product ID of this product?
March 17, 2015 at 9:47 am #69088Ryan75MemberHello I’m having exactly the same issue
I’m using the plugin for about 2 years and since few weeks, customers send me email telling me that there are no link to download the products.
When i try to generate a link with the admin function, it works randomly (some time i have 2 first parts that generate, sometime only part 3 etc..)
I didn’t do any change. I think the problem comes from the google generator link.
March 17, 2015 at 10:15 am #69089Ryan75MemberOk i just tried to uncheck Shorten Encrypted Download Links, and when i try to generate a new link with admin function it works perfectly except that the links are really long !
SO the problem come from google encrypted link… Can you do something ?
March 17, 2015 at 11:39 am #69090wzpModerator@Ryan75 — Lately, we’ve been having various issues with the Google URL shortener. Please understand that we cannot really “do anything” except study the problem and try figuring out a way around it; because we do not have any input or control into how Google’s products function.
In addition, portions of our bundled product do not get included in the email portion of this section.
Question; when you have the URL shortener turned off, does this particular problem “go away?” Lately, some users have been talking about missing email links, and I’m wondering if it is Google related.
March 17, 2015 at 12:48 pm #69091Ryan75MemberHello @wzp
Yeah as i said, when url shortener is turn off, the problem go away.
I think it’s google related because now i can generate links without any part missing… The only problem is that the links are too long.
March 17, 2015 at 7:11 pm #69092goldenreflectionsblogMemberI am having the same problems and so are a few other bloggers I know who use the WP estore. Will try turning off the link shortener to see if that helps.
March 17, 2015 at 9:44 pm #69093videos2worshipSpectatorI have had same issues. My website has hundreds of products. Links sometimes work well, and sometimes don’t even generate (I get 404 error). I checked all the settings and looked through the Amazon S3 links. All Amazon S3 links are in good standing. I reinstalled eStore plugin and still same issue.
After reading this conversation I uncheck Shorten Encrypted Download Links and now everything seems to be back to normal.
By the way, eStore and eMember are awesome!
March 17, 2015 at 11:07 pm #69094DiamondJSpectatorHi,
I am also having the same problem. Has been working perfectly for months and have only been having problems over the last 3-4 days.
March 17, 2015 at 11:52 pm #69095marinaapperleyMember@admin — Sorry for the delay in response. No, this product does not use variations though they do contain digital aspects/files.
[deleted debug info after checking it]
Unchecking the Shorten Encrypted Download Links worked perfectly for us as well.

March 27, 2015 at 4:10 pm #69097punchbuggyblueMemberThanks for this thread. I have been experiencing the same trouble with missing download links. So, for now I have unchecked the Shorten Encrypted Download Links selection. But, I would like to use the bitly option.
I have a bitly account. But I am very new to wpEstore and I’m not sure how to install the “latest build” and I suppose I don’t have it, since I don’t see any place to enter a Bitly Oauth code.
Can you help?
March 27, 2015 at 5:04 pm #69098wzpModeratorPlease read this thread:
Step 1 tells you how to upgrade eStore.
Step 2 tells you how to activate Bitly.
March 27, 2015 at 5:06 pm #69099punchbuggyblueMemberGreat! And I assume that the upgrade will not affect my settings or products. Correct?
March 27, 2015 at 6:36 pm #69100wzpModeratorIt will only affect you if you made custom changes to any of the plugin’s PHP or CSS files (which you shouldn’t normally do).
