Hello,
I am trying to send out an encrypted link via the admin function, and the problem is that sometimes it works and then other times a blank page is presented.
I have tried logging out then back in
I have cleared all page cache
I have closed other programmes down
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

June 30, 2014 at 1:41 pm #64009wzpModeratorHow much PHP memory do you have? Try increasing it to 256 MB.
I have cleared all page cache
Do you mean your browser page cache, or (if you have a caching plugin) your site’s page cache, or both?
July 3, 2014 at 1:46 pm #64010KysaanMemberI don’t know how much php memory I have, I will need to figure that out then try again ?
July 3, 2014 at 2:10 pm #64011wzpModeratorIn the top level directory of your site, crate a my_php_info.php file that contains the following 3 lines:
<?php
phpinfo(INFO_ALL);
?>
Execute the script, using the [http://yousite.com/my_php_info.php] URL, replacing “yoursite.com” with the appropriate information
Under the “Configuration PHP Core” section of the report, is an entry labeled “memory_limit.” What does it say?
When you are done (make a printout), please delete the file, so that unauthorized persons cannot stumble upon this information.

July 9, 2014 at 10:49 am #64013KysaanMemberHello,
I was having trouble doing this so I asked hostgator support to fix it for me.
They did what was instructed, but I am still having the same problem
July 9, 2014 at 11:02 am #64014KysaanMemberI just turned off W3 cache, it the link generator worked fine
Is there another cache plugin or some special configuration that I need to do?
July 9, 2014 at 3:34 pm #64015wzpModeratorYou need to follow these instructions:

July 10, 2014 at 5:45 pm #64016KysaanMemberHello,
Yes I did that when I purchased the estore plug-in.
July 10, 2014 at 9:31 pm #64017wzpModeratorSo, what is the answer to how much PHP memory you have?
December 29, 2014 at 9:36 am #64018KysaanMemberHello,
I am having the same problem with the links expiring, in fact the problem actually never went away.
The problem has increased due to the increased sales that is being processed through the plug in. Almost every product sale has a problem.
This is the message that the clients are receiving:
“The secure download manager ran into a problem that it couldn’t handle, and is unable to process your download request.
The problem was due to the following reason:
The download link (see browser address bar) has been used too many times. If you think this reason is in error, please contact the site administrator”
Or
The link I have been given below says that it is expired?
What I have done to try to fix the problem:
• I have checked the PHP memory as instructed and it is 256MB, furthermore the web site is running well within its data usage allotment.
• I am using wp-super cache and it has been configured as instructed.
• When I turn off the plug in I can generate an admin link, sometimes but not always.
Regards
Kylie
December 29, 2014 at 5:43 pm #64019wzpModeratorWe are aware of the problem. It is Google related:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/link-shortener-feature-request/page/3#post-67828
Please stop using the link shortening feature, and all will return to normal.
December 29, 2014 at 11:11 pm #64020KysaanMemberHello, It is directly affecting my customers’ purchases?
What will return to normal?
December 30, 2014 at 12:24 am #64021adminKeymasterWhat value you are using in the “Download Limit Count” field of the plugin’s settings?
Have you turned off the “Shorten Encrypted Download Links” option in the settings?
December 30, 2014 at 10:22 am #64022KysaanMemberThe download limit count is a generous 12 times (of which nobody has used),
and the shorten encrypted link has been turned off.??
The customers are going through the checkout process with no problems, through PayPal, then back to the thank you page.
It is when they try to access the e-book that the problem occurs.
Also, I have to turn off WPO-super cache for the admin function to work!
I have just sent a customer another link so I am waiting to see if they have any problems with that link…
Overall, it looks very unprofessional and I have now started to look at other options.
