When I activate the variations ui addon the add to cart anchor point no longer works. When I deactivate the variations ui addon the cart anchor point works perfectly.
The site is live with paying customers who will be confused if they do not see the shopping cart so I have the variations ui addon plugin deactivated at the moment.
I am currently running:
wp cart for digital products
wp 3.6
Genesis 2.0
Expose child them 1.0.1
The variations addon is very useful and I would like to use it. I will have to activate the variations ui addon if you want to see the result for yourself. Let me know and I will activate it.

August 22, 2013 at 2:06 am #57307adminKeymasterThe variations addon uses AJAX (the page does not reload for this which is why you are seeing that behavior). You can add the shopping cart to the sidebar of your site so the customer can see the cart as soon as they add the item.
Alternatively, use a specific checkout page and enable the auto redirection to checkout page feature. The following post will explain how to do that:

August 29, 2013 at 5:56 am #57308lesiMembervariations addon causing page not to redirect upon checkout.
I set up a specific check out page as per the above post. I’m using this short code [wp_eStore_cart_fancy1]. In settings I unchecked the anchor cart box, added the redirect URL and checked the automatic redirect to checkout page. After activating the variations addon the page will not redirect to the checkout page.
I also enabled the AJAX option in the plugin editor and it did not help, in fact after enabling the AJAX option the page would not redirect when the variations plugin was deactivated.
August 29, 2013 at 7:23 am #57309adminKeymasterWe have updated our advanced variations addon so it will work with the auto redirect to the checkout page after an item is added to the cart. You don’t need to enable AJAX in the main plugin (so revert that change).
Please download a new copy of the advanced variations addon and use that. Let me know how it goes after that.
